You probably should be.

As AI agents increasingly crawl, summarize and recommend content, it’s worth understanding how your site is being interpreted — not just by human visitors, but by machines.
There are several free tools that can help you start exploring AI visibility and performance. At some point, you may decide you need deeper (paid) insights, but these are great places to begin:
AIView from Trust Insights https://www.trustinsights.ai/aiview
AIView, developed by AI strategist Christopher Penn, allows you to analyze up to 10 URLs per day. It provides insight into how AI systems may interpret your content structure, clarity and accessibility.
Important note: If AIView cannot access your URL due to bot protection, it’s possible that AI crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Perplexity are also being blocked. That alone can be a useful diagnostic insight.
Scrunch https://scrunch.com/
Scrunch is a monitoring and insights platform focused on AI visibility. They offer a free report for your URL (yes, it’s lead generation). The site includes a concise overview video explaining how their AI Experience Platform helps deliver AI-optimized content to AI agents visiting your site. You can also book a demo for a deeper look.
Semrush AI Toolkit https://www.semrush.com/lp/ai-toolkit/en
Semrush now includes AI visibility analytics as part of its broader platform. Their 7-day free trial of Semrush One includes SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and AI visibility tools — helpful if you want to evaluate performance across both traditional search and emerging AI surfaces.
There are certainly others. If you’re using a different tool, please share in the comments below.
Even a free snapshot can provide enough insight to take back to your content, marketing or product teams and begin testing improvements.
Because if AI is summarizing your expertise, recommending your resources, or answering questions on your behalf… it’s worth knowing what it sees.
